Item #: h42
Description: It is
difficult to describe the construction of these cuff bracelets because
they are unique. Each bracelet has a tiny goldtone metal rod that wraps
around the upper and lower frame approximately ninety times for a
wire-wrapped effect. Each of the four tapered ends on the bottom has an
inscribed flower with horizontal tendrils flowing from it, see lower
left picture. All of the flowers have red and green enamel on them which
appears unblemished. They have three flowers attached to each of them -
two with buds flowing from them and one center flower with a stem.
They are identical except the center flower on one of them is placed
slightly nearer the top than on the other and has tiny red enamel stamens
in its blossom while the other has tiny red enamel for some stamens
and tiny glued in clear rhinestones for others. One of the bracelets
have less red enamel on its petals than the petals on the flowers of the
other. These do not appear to be the result of wear or repair, but
rather a difference in the artist's execution! Careful inspection
reveals no signing, but we believe these bracelets were made by Coro
probably about 1940. Price for the pair.
Size: 5 1/2" around, not counting the opening at the bottom, they'll fit an average size wrist. 1" at widest down to 1/2" at tapered ends.
