Description: This is a very cool 1930s industrial/modern design bakelite expansion bracelet. The eight pieces of curved bakelite alternate with eight double curved chrome pieces and are strung on two elastic cords. The backs of all these pieces are flat to fit against your wrist perfectly. The colors remind me of camouflage colors and are a gray green with blackish marbling. This bracelet is similar in design to the stretchie bracelet pictured on p. 30 of Bakelite Bangles by Karima Parry. (The shape of the bakelite is the same as is the shape of the chrome metal pieces, but on the bracelet offered for sale, the chrome pieces have a cut-out design.)
