Description: Brooch, unsigned. Venetian floral mosaic set into an oval piece of goldstone mounted into a twisted gold filled frame, c. 1880's. The mosaic flowers are made with white and red glass tiles, or tesserae, and are surrounded by green leaf tiles and blue accents. Hinged pin stem and locking safety clasp on the back, the safety catch looks to be a replacement, it's extremely well done. Size: 1 3/8" x 1 1/2" x 3/8" thick
Condition: Very good, no flaws, cracks or scratches to goldstone, no missing tiles. Only downgrade from 'excellent' is replaced catch and slight bend to frame near the clasp.
